stiktin Mr Stephen Tiktin – Chair and Co-opted Governor

Committees/Responsibilities: Finance and general purpose committee, Training Link Governor, SEN, KS2 Link Governor. By profession I am a chartered management accountant and before retiring in 2004, I was fortunate to work and live in many countries around the world, working with people of different cultures and education systems. I have experience of being a governor for other schools within Leighton Buzzard since 2007 and was invited to join the Governing Body at Beaudesert in 2013 – being elected to the role of Chair of Governors from January 2014. I sit on the Local Authority Schools’ Forum representing Lower Schools’ interest in its deliberations. I hope that the wide experience and “soft” skills accumulated during my professional career and involvement as a governor in other schools will benefit my current role of Chair of Governors to Beaudesert, its governing body, pupils and their families.

  Cherihane Taqi – Parent Governor 

Cherihane currently works as a global supply planner for a leader in connected car technology, lifestyle audio innovations and digital transformation. Cherihane’s focus as a governor is working with the headteacher and senior leadership team to drive the strategic development of the school and raise standards of achievement. Cherihane has a keen interest in Science and Arts and currently has one child attending the school.

Committees/Responsibilities: Full Governing Body, Finance Committee, School Improvement Group and Safeguarding Governor.

Bob Turner – Co-opted Governor 

Bob Turner became a co-opted Governor in September 2022. Bob works in the IT industry and brings many skills to our Governing Body. He is link Governor for SEND and sits on our Finance Group. Bob’s two children currently attend Beaudesert and Mrs Turner is an active member of the PTA. Bob has a keen interest in grass roots football and coaches a local football team. He is also a self-confessed car fanatic and loves playing snooker.

Mr Kief Ho – Co-Opted Governor

By profession Kief has over 10 years experience in the field of education and his expertise spans a multitude of roles within the field, he is also a researcher, specialising in the Quality of Life for children with special educational needs. Kief is extremely keen on promoting inclusion to society and his vision is to raise awareness and acceptance of needs globally regardless of medical labels. Kief hopes to support Beaudesert with his experience and knowledge especially in the inclusion area.

Mr Tormod Macleod (Mac) – Co – Opted Governor

Mac comes to Beaudesert Lower School with over 30 years’ experience in the public sector, the majority of which have been in policing. As a senior police officer, Mac is committed to delivering ethical leadership, improving outcomes and ensuring accountability. Mac is passionate about public service and will ensure that Beaudesert continues to provide our children with a safe, happy and inclusive environment, where they can develop a strong educational foundation and love for learning.

Mac currently lives in Leighton Buzzard and is married with two children.
